At Last!

Hey, people,

IMG_6205

I have been running around the past few weeks (like the proverbial headless chicken) to get this space ready to receive my blogs on A Day In Sarah’s Kitchen; at last, it is ready – or as ready as can be for the moment.

As some who know me can attest, I am a lover of food, cooking and all things to do with stuff that go into the tummy. Matter of fact, as a candy shop is to a child so is food (and the ingredients used in preparing food)  to me. I tell people sometimes, I dream recipes like a designer dreams new designs! For years I have wanted to blog about this love of mine – actually tried my hand a little at it in the Kitchen Picasso (my now non-active section of this site). You may ask  why I stopped blogging on the Kitchen Picaso.  Well, I was studying – Masters in Professional Writing to be exact.  That took long enough, but the writing field is so vast and once you start, you may need to do a few more than you’d initially bargained for – to make your portfolio worth jack.  Doing that and raising two children at the same time is no meander in the park.

Anyway, in the last four years I have acquired sundry diplomas in copywriting, editing and proofreading, poetry and now I am in the final stages of a diploma in screenwriting. Thinking to combine all these skills and make something out of the two loves of my life – cooking and writing.

This supper club idea (definition here http://www.saltshaker.net/underground-dining-scene) and blogging about it,  is my  first rung on the ladder in the useful combination of these two loves of mine.  I hope you will stay on this journey with me. I am so super excited!

Until next time…

Eat Healthy!

I have to say, the evening was more than I expected, warm environment, simply delicious home cooked food, lovely company from all walks of life and great giggles! Definitely more than I expected! Well done Sarah, may The Lord continue to shine His favour on you and make this venture a big success!

    Sarah does it once again!

Last Friday I decided to take my sweet sis, who was visiting from Surrey, to Sarah’s kitchen, which I had told her all about. Needless to say, when the other members of my family heard we were off to Sarah’s, they all decided they wanted to come along once again to join the fun and be spoilt once again. As usualSarah didn’t disappoint. This time it was a more cosy atmosphere, with a sit at the table ambience: it was lovely! As the curry dishes came out one by one, our palettes were tantalized with each dish!
It was such a fun evening, everyone had so much fun and laughter….we left feeling satisfied in every way!
So worth the evening out! My sister can’t wait til her next visit to re-live the experience too!
God bless you Sarah and grow this endeavor you have started!
